Q. Do I need to register for the conference?
A. If you are only presenting and not wanting to attend other sessions, you do not need to register. If you are looking to receive CE’s/attend other sessions, you will need to register for the conference.
Q. Is there a template for slides?
A. Yes, we do have a standard slide presentation for the division. You are more than welcome to use it or use your own.
Q. Do I need to submit my slides prior to the presentation?
A. If you would like to share your slides, they must be submitted by Friday, January 28. Any items supplied after this date will be put in the app when we are able.
Q. Will there be tech support?
A. In addition to the volunteers that have signed up to assist; we have hired an AV company.
Q. What will the AV company help with?
A. They will:
- Sign in to all sessions
- Handle all tech issues during sessions
- Assist SCP Volunteer if needed
- Run Sponsor Ads in between sessions
- Run Sponsor Ads before keynote speakers
- Set up Break out rooms during breaks if needed
Q. What will the SCP Volunteers help with?
A. They will:
- Introduce the session with CE requirements
- Spotlight speaker for optimal viewing
- Assist with breakout rooms
- Monitor Chat
- Set up polls as needed
Q. What will presenters do?
A. They will:
- Speaker introductions
- Run/Share powerpoint
- Provide volunteers with breakout and polls that are needed
- Decide on how the chat will be handled
Q. Will we practice in advance?
A. We will have two speaker readiness trainings. Please try to attend one of the two sessions. If you need to practice your session, please do this with your group. Student volunteers and AV technicians will not be available to practice with you.
Q. Zoom
A. We will use zoom for our platform. We will assign zoom links two weeks before the conference. You will be responsible for sending the zoom information to any additional presenters for your session.
Q. Are presenters providing handouts or do participants get the PPT?
A. It is at the discretion of the presenter to provide handouts. Each attendee will have access to the PPT.
