Presenter: Kathryn Keeton, Ph.D.

Kathryn Keeton, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist in the state of Texas and her specialties include executive coaching, leadership, team development and entrepreneurship. Recognized in 2017 with a San Antonio Business Journal Women Leadership Award, Keeton is both a successful entrepreneur and associate professor for UTSA. She has authored and co-authored research publications on topics related to innovation, team development, employee engagement and leadership training. Keeton is a member of the Society for Industrial Organizational Psychologists (SIOP), and the American Psychological Association (APA).

Description:

This session will review how leaders can successfully navigate VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous) environments that define the modern business world today. Participants will learn new, dynamic, evidence-based strategies that adopt a VUCA approach to become more agile leaders for increased sustainability and growth.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define at least 2 of  the key components of VUCA environments 
  • Describe at least 2 methods to overcome VUCA environments in business operations by utilizing evidence-based strategies
  • Describe a personal leadership approach to better manage and lead complexity in the organization to ensure clarity for your people
