Business has long been international, but modern business is intricately tied to customers, partners, and stakeholders who may reside outside our national borders. This challenge had led organizations to focus more on culture. However, the focus may be poorly targeted, which could lead to ineffective solutions and lost ROI. This talk will first discuss the nature of culture, and provide insights on methods to streamline the body of work in the area. Second, the talk will present insights and case study on proactively elevating culture to the strategic level of decision making, rather than retroactively address it after errors have already occured.
