Organizational Psychologist at Chapman & Co./Leadership Alliance

Position Description:

The Organizational Psychologist is a key contributor to the Chapman & Co./Leadership Alliance talent management practice.  You will conduct pre-employment and development assessments, executive coaching, 360-degree feedback facilitation and teambuilding.  In addition, you may facilitate interviewing and mentoring training, or other training as needed.  You may also consult with clients on succession planning, high-potential identification and other areas within the organizational development or talent management sphere.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions): 

  • Build strong relationships and become a trusted advisor with multiple clients, while gaining an understanding of their culture, values and talent needs.
  • Interpret pre-employment psychological testing batteries
  • Interview job applicants as part of the selection process for our clients
  • Debrief assessment results with the client company and providing hiring
  • Write assessment summary reports clearly and concisely
  • Maintain strong client relationships over the phone and in-person
  • Engage in business development activities
  • Provide leadership coaching to managers and executives
  • Facilitate team-buildings and other workshops
  • Deliver 360 feedback
  • Collaborates with team to expand existing client relationships
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

  • Ph.D. in Counseling, Clinical or Industrial/Organizational Psychology is required.
  • 2-3 years of consulting experience preferred
  • Experience working with selection assessment tools preferred, but we are willing to train 

Work Environment:

Work is performed in an office environment, offsite client meetings, and remote work using a variety of digital platforms (Zoom, Teams, Webex, etc.) 

Position Type:

This is a regular, full-time position with the understanding that a regular workweek will require extended days and hours as needed to meet business needs.

Travel:

Minimal travel is expected for this role; anticipated travel is <10%. 

Physical Demands:

This role requires the constant use of standard office equipment; visual, listening and mental focus.

The principal position is primarily a delivery role. Also, given the flat nature of the firm, Principals largely operate as individual contributors by leading the assessment, interpreting the data, and then presenting their recommendations to the client’s Board or C-suite.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Qualifications & Education Requirements

California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable clinical leader, like you, to serve as Chief of the statewide Consultancy Orientation and Mentorship Services (COMS) program.

In this specialized role, you will provide consultation services – both onsite and remotely – to Mental Health Program Executives, Chiefs, and Supervisors, including mentorship for managerial, leadership, and skill development. Additionally, you will:

  • Advise executives and hiring managers on statewide hiring and recruitment, training, orientation, and mentorship

The Role
Providing exceptional care is at the heart of Modern Health. We are looking for a behavioral scientist to serve as our Director of Well-being Services and join our Clinical Care team to help advance this mission. In this role, you will define and scale how we support the organizations that partner with Modern Health.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the strategic design, execution, and ongoing management for mental health and wellbeing initiatives to support our organizational partners and customers

Who You Are

  • You have an advanced degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Clinical/Counseling Psychology, or a related field 
  • You have 3+ years of experience developing and implementing wellness programming for organizations 
  • You have a strong strategic and analytic (quantitative and qualitative) approach, including extensive assessment and intervention experience related to improving employee mental health and well-being 
  • You have proven success in developing and managing a creative, industry-leading mental health and well-being program 
  • You are operationally savvy and prefer to build systems instead of single-use solutions You enjoy working in dynamic and ambiguous environments with lots of interdisciplinary collaboration 
  • You have strong attention to detail and you care deeply that your end-product is both effective and engaging You are passionate about innovating and moving mental health care into the future
